The first bar chart shows the data of United States marriage and divorce percentage from 1970 to 2000. We can see from the bar chart that the marrige rate was always higher than the divorce rate in the USA between 1970 and 2000. More precisely, there were 2.5 million people married, while only 1 million people divorced. the figure of marrige people keep steadily in 1980, but the divorce number increased to 1.4 million in 1980. And then there were less people(2.3 million) married in 1990 compared with 1980, at the some time there were 1.2 million people divorced. The figure of divorce marriage rate and divorce rate decreased to 2 million and 1 million, respactively, in 2000.
The sencond bar chart indecated the martial status of adult Americans in 1970 and 2000. We can see from the chart that most percent of people married both in 1970 and 2000, are 70% and 58% respactively. The least rate in 1970 was divorce people. But the Widowed adults occupied the least rate (3%) in 2000.
We can see from these too chart that more Americans liked to marry between 1970 and 2000.
